Kyle Carabini - The role of the Professional Nurse Advocate

The aim of the podcast is to explore the role of the Professional Nurse Advocate with regards to workforce wellbeing.

The Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) programme was launched in March 2021 towards the end of the third UK wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ambition by Ruth May, Chief Nursing Officer for NHS England is to support the workforce through the implementation of the PNA who can provide restorative supervision.

Kyle, who has recently undertaken the training, gives listeners an overview of the training and provides insight into how the role is being implemented.

Kyle Carabini is currently Ward Manger of an Acute Medical ward in a Central Manchester Hospital. Kyle has previously worked in HIV Care and Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) services until being redeployed in the pandemic and undertaking his new role.
