This episode of the podcast returns to the current narrative of Mpox and seeks to understand if we have learnt anything from previous epidemics. Within the interview we explore the current themes that are being portrayed in the media with regards to how pandemics are being reported and the lessons we can learn from this as a society.

About our guests

Dr Maurice Nagington is an academic and researcher at the University of Manchester, his research interest includes LGBT health, HIV, ageing, and 'chemsex' (the use of drugs by gay men in sexualised settings).

Dr Jaime García-Iglesias is a Mildred Baxter Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Biomedicine, Self and Society at The University of Edinburgh. Jaime is working on exploring how sexual fantasies and desires can be harnessed for HIV prevention by engaging with a range of stakeholders.
